Latchet: This daughter of Intense Focus is a hardened handicapper. Thus far this five-year-old has raced twenty-eight times and got her head in front three times but to her credit she has been placed on ten other occasions. She is a tenacious sort and almost always makes her presence felt.

She was formerly trained by trainer Jim Bolger in Coolcullen Stables; He spoke well of his ex in-mate; “she’s (Latchet) been a school mistress for our apprentices and her record isn’t too bad. She might be able to go a bit further and that will open up more opportunities for her”

She is now rated 69 in the handicap, decisively that is not her ceiling mark, there is many more races to be won with her, and Leanne Breen racing and her meticulous  team are confident the best of her capability is yet to come, now well settled in her new surroundings at Clooneavin racing stables.
